Outstanding Drilling Results at Temrezli and Sefaatli

Outstanding Drilling Results at Temrezli and Sefaatli

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) December 21, 2013

Anatolia Energy Limited (the Company or Anatolia) is pleased to announce that it has commenced a 6,000m in-fill drilling program at its flagship Temrezli Uranium Project in central Turkey, and completed an additional 10 holes at the nearby Sefaatli Satellite Project.

Temrezli Uranium Project

Following the Company’s successful $ 6.2M capital raising in September this year, Anatolia has commenced a substantial program of work which it expects will culminate in a development decision in the 3rd quarter of 2014. Part of the program of work includes an on-going drilling program which to date comprises 32 holes for over 5,000m drilled. The holes which are both RC and Core are intended to increase the understanding of the existing resource, and to facilitate well field planning which will form part of a revised economic assessment.

Equivalent uranium grade (eU3O8) estimated from gamma logs at Temrezli received to date include intercepts of:

TUR54    4.6m    @    770ppm eU3O8    from    139.5m

TUR58    2.2m    @    1,520ppm eU3O8    from    160.8m

TUR61    9.6m    @    660ppm eU3O8    from    107.8m

            6.8m    @    4,030ppm eU3O8    from    117.4m

TUR63    3.0m    @    870ppm eU3O8    from    133.6m

TUR64    4.1m    @    1,720ppm eU3O8    from    130.5m

TUR65    1.1m    @    1,220ppm eU3O8    from    136.7m

TUR68    2.9m    @    840ppm eU3O8    from    108.5m

TUR69    9.3m    @    730ppm eU3O8    from    129.5m

             4.4m    @    1,390ppm eU3O8    from    173.5m

TUR76    1.6m    @    760ppm eU3O8    from    144.2m

TUR79    3.8m    @    750ppm eU3O8    from    145.5m

TUR81    4.6m    @    780ppm eU3O8    from    110.7m

Of particular note are the wider intercepts, indicating that on occasion the generally tabular nature of the mineralised lenses observed at the Temrezli deposit resemble roll fronts similar in style to producing uranium ISR projects in the Powder River and Great Divide Basins in Wyoming. USA.

In addition to the in-fill drilling, Anatolia has commenced further hydrological studies, which will assist with well field planning and environmental approvals. HydroSolutions Inc. is conducting the hydrological work, which will involve 2,000m of well drilling, and a series of groundwater flow tests to determine well field spacing, the residence time of mining solutions, and pump and injection rates. With additional metallurgical assessments underway, the hydrological test results will assist in the determination of expected resource recovery rates.

Sefaatli Satellite Project

The Sefaatli Satellite Project comprises two prospects, Deliler and Tulu Tepe, where previous drilling outlined uranium mineralisation extending over a combined area of 4.6 km2.

The prospects lie within a NE-SW corridor of some 12 km length. Given the proximity of Sefaatli to the Temrezli Uranium Project, there is strong potential for Sefaatli to evolve into a satellite operation that supplements the planned development of the Temrezli Uranium Project.

The Company’s recent drilling extended over only 10% of the Deliler prospect (Figure 2) and less than 5% of the combined area of the two prospects. All holes intersected uranium mineralisation at depths ranging between 20m and 133m, with most holes intersecting two or more lenses and one hole up to 5 stacked lenses. Equivalent uranium grade (eU3O8) estimated from gamma logs at Sefaatli included intercepts of:

SD1    2.4m    @    340ppm eU3O8    from    46.5m

    1.2m    @    430ppm eU3O8    from    55.9m

SD2    4.6m    @    390ppm eU3O8    from    40.1m

SD3    1.1m    @    410ppm eU3O8    from    41.1m

SD7    2.2m    @    290ppm eU3O8    from    22.8m

    1.2m    @    430ppm eU3O8    from    32.4m

SD8    3.7m    @    230ppm eU3O8    from    30.7m

Commenting on these results, Anatolia’s Managing Director, Jim Graham, said

We are delighted to have discovered uranium mineralisation in all of our drill holes at Sefaatli which is short distance southwest of our Temrezli uranium deposit. We intend to continue examining the potential for continued extension of mineralisation at both Deliler and Tulu Tepe and to advance their tenure to an operation status. These early results over a small portion of the tenure in the Sefaatli area provide strong encouragement for this to evolve into a satellite operation that feeds into our planned development of the high grade Temrezli Uranium Project, where the recent drilling results have exceeded our expectations.

The identification of multiple roll front structures at Temrezli will have a significant positive impact on our well field design work and project economics, whilst we look forward to the results from the current hydrological tests.”

Hot Tone Music to Release CDs by Bassist Mimi Jones, Saxophonist Camille Thurman, and Drummer Shirazette Tinnin on Feb. 4

Hot Tone Music recording artists Camille Thurman, Mimi Jones, and Shirazette Tinnin.

Richmond, CA (PRWEB) December 21, 2013

The simultaneous release on February 4 of new Hot Tone Music CDs by Mimi Jones (“Balance”), saxophonist Camille Thurman (“Origins”), and drummer Shirazette Tinnin (“Humility: Purity of My Soul”) places the label at the forefront of bringing recognition to the increasing prominence of world-class female musicians in the jazz arena.

“Hot Tone Music was created to give chances to those who may have been overlooked and denied the necessary support and knowledge to develop,” says bassist Jones, who founded the label in 2009. “Women are a big part of that group, and so I always look out for them. Women have come a long way but are still a minority in jazz, so we’ve formed a network of sorts where we can call on each other for support and recommendations.

“As it is a great desire of mine to free myself of remembering that we are ‘women in jazz’ instead of musicians,” she adds, “we are still in times where it remains seen as ‘special’ for women to be really doing it—and doing it well.”

Jones, Thurman, and Tinnin had already established impressive track records as instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, and bandleaders. The three women make appearances on each other’s Hot Tone CDs and also call on the services of top players such as Ingrid Jensen, Luis Perdomo, Enoch Smith Jr., and Justin Faulkner (Jones); Corcoran Holt, Rudy Royston, and Brandee Younger (Thurman); and Rachel Eckroth, Willerm Delisfort, and Tia Fuller (Tinnin).

Genre-blending is a hallmark of Mimi Jones’s music—on both her 2009 debut “A New Day” and her brand-new “Balance.” The disc features seven of her own compositions, one by band member Marvin Sewell, and striking arrangements of tunes by Adele (“Someone Like You”), Roy Ayers (“Everybody Loves the Sunshine”), and Bob Dorough (“Nothing Like You”) as well as the children’s favorite “The Incy Wincy Spider.” She plays acoustic bass on nine tracks and electric bass on three and sings on six (Jones added singing to her bass playing seven years ago).

Born in New York City (in 1972) and raised in the Bronx, Mimi attended Fiorello LaGuardia High School and earned a B.A. in music at the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory. She missed her graduation, however, because she’d been hired to tour Japan with saxophonist Masa Wada and drummer Denis Charles. It was the first of numerous overseas tours that would take her to Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, some under the auspices of the U.S. State Department. In addition to leading her own groups, Jones has worked with jazz artists including Kenny Barron, Joanne Brackeen, Terri Lyne Carrington (who chose Jones to play on her Grammy-winning “The Mosaic Project”), Ravi Coltrane, Lizz Wright, Lionel Hampton, Roy Hargrove, and many more.

On her “Origins” CD, Camille Thurman performs 11 original compositions, plus one apiece by Fats Waller (“Jitterbug Waltz”) and Saul Chaplin/Sammy Cahn (“Please Be Kind”). Thurman has major chops on all four of her instruments—tenor and soprano saxophone, flute, and voice—and an abundance of imagination to go along with them. She’s also an outstanding writer, two of whose tunes, “In Duetime” and “Origins”—both on the new CD—were recognized by the ASCAP Foundation with Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer awards, in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Thurman was born in St. Albans, Queens, NY in 1986 and was introduced by her mother early on to the great vocal artists. She began playing flute at age 12, alto saxophone at 13, and switched to tenor at 14 after hearing Dexter Gordon. She went on to earn a B.A. in Geological and Environmental Sciences from Binghamton University before deciding to become a full-time musician. Currently a member of Jones’s group and the leader of her own quartet, Thurman has worked in the big bands of Charli Persip, Nicholas Payton, and DIVA; recorded with Dianne Reeves on her upcoming “Beautiful Life” CD; is in the all-star house band on BET’s “Black Girls Rock” award show; and was the second runner-up for a Sassy Award in last month’s Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition.

Drummer Shirazette Tinnin debuts on “Humility: Purity of My Soul,” working with her band, the Shirazette Experiment: pianists Willerm Delisfort and Rachel Eckroth, guitarist Seth Johnson, bassist Tom DiCarlo, and singing tenor saxophonist Camille Thurman. Seven of her compositions are included, along with arrangements of songs by Eddie Harris (“Freedom Jazz Dance”) and McCoy Tyner (“Passion Dance”). Tia Fuller, in whose band Shirazette has played for the past three years, and the Angolan vocalist Afrikkanitha make guest appearances on the new disc.

Shirazette was born in Chapel Hill, NC in 1979, the daughter of gospel singers who performed up and down the East Coast. After getting her B.A. in Music Industry Studies at Appalachian State University, she studied at Northern Illinois University, earning her master’s in music. Tinnin worked and recorded with flutist Nicole Mitchell and, at a jazz festival, met trumpeter Gabriel Alegría, who invited her to come to New York (in 2009) and join his Afro-Peruvian Sextet, with whom she has recorded and regularly toured in the U.S. and Peru. Tinnin also reconnected in New York with Mimi Jones, whom she had met a decade earlier in North Carolina. She has organized several bands over the years, including Imani 7. When she’s not playing music, Shirazette works as a personal trainer.

Mimi Jones, Camille Thurman, and Shirazette Tinnin will be performing together at APAP, New York on Jan. 12 (DROM, 85 Avenue A bet. 5th/6th); and with their respective bands at the Hot Tone Music CD release show scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 4, 7:00 pm, Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street, New York.

Industrial Surplus World Has Acquired Inventory From Chemical Plants and Engineering Facilities

Industrial Surplus World Has Acquired Inventory From Chemical Plants and Engineering Facilities

New York, New York (PRWEB) December 23, 2013

Industrial surplus materials and equipment serve a world of purposes for various industries and businesses. While some companies offer to buy and sell new or used machinery and parts, sellers are turned off by buyers that only offer to buy the items for a very low purchase price. In the same manner, there are buyers who are hesitant when considering to purchase industrial equipment due to their hefty price tags. In 2013, there were high fluctuations in sales in the industrial surplus sector, but the future appears to be promising beginning with 2014. The economy is beginning to show signs of recovery, meaning surplus industry will grow as well.

Industrial companies showcase the industrial equipment and materials that it currently sells. Only a few industrial surplus companies offer a wide range of products and services, nationwide. With the recent acquisition of products from several chemical plans and engineering plants, Industrial Surplus will continue to offer the largest range of surplus inventory in the nation. These products include all types of industrial valves, electrical equipment and materials, commercial and military electronic component parts, mining material and equipment, industrial and commercial generators, marine material and equipment, petrochemical process and construction equipment, as well as electronic components.

Committed to buying high and selling cheap, Industrial Surplus World will expand its reach even more in 2014 with the purchase of larger inventory from chemical plans and engineering facilities. Because Industrial Surplus Inc buys in bulk, the savings are passed to individuals or companies looking to buy used equipment or inventory products for good value.

Industrial Surplus World provides the most cost-competitive and comprehensive solutions possible. Striving to become the industry preference for surplus materials nationwide. For the past 25 years, Industrial Surplus World has demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Members of Acadian Reunite With Patient Ten Years After Saving His Life

Members of Acadian Reunite With Patient Ten Years After Saving His Life

Cutline: Paramedic Rick Perry, Air Med Operations Manager Marc Creswell, Patient Cody Richard, Acadian Medical Director Dr. Charles Burnell, and Operations Supervisor Cody Leckelt

Lafayette, LA (PRWEB) December 23, 2013

In 2003, Cody Richard of Carencro was in a coma for more than 90 days after a single-vehicle accident nearly ended his life. Ten years later, he was able to reunite with the Acadian medics who helped save him.

“I was on the way home,” Richard said. “A buddy of mine was dropping me off, but we never made it there.”

Paramedic Rick Perry was one of the medics on the scene that night along with Operations Supervisor Cody Leckelt. During the reunion, he reflected on the accident. “When we arrived, we found Cody lying in the middle of the road,” he said. “As we approached him, we noticed his head was almost completely twisted around his body. I immediately thought that he didn’t survive the crash.”

Suffering severe head trauma and multiple broken bones, Richard was treated and transported to American Legion Hospital in Crowley, La. After assessing the magnitude of his condition, Richard was immediately transferred by Air Med to Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette, La., with very slim chances of survival. His family was told that even if he did survive, he would be bedridden for the rest of his life.

Dr. Charles Burnell, now Acadian’s medical director, was the emergency room physician on call when Richard arrived.

“Typically, with these types of injuries, the patient does not recover,” Burnell said. “Cody’s positive outcome is extremely rare in the medical field.”

After multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation and recovery, Richard is now living a normal day-to-day life.

“I am so blessed to be able to meet these gentlemen who helped save my life,” Richard said. “Acadian hires professionals who really know what they’re doing.”

Marc Creswell, operations manager for Air Med, said, “Over the course of a paramedic’s career, you will probably transport anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 patients. To see one who survived such a traumatic accident over 10 years ago makes all the time spent in the classroom and all the hours of training worth it.”

Since 1971, Acadian has provided the highest level of emergency medical care and transportation possible. In the past decade, the company has expanded to include a diverse suite of services in health, safety, and transportation. Acadian’s six divisions are Acadian Ambulance Service, Acadian Monitoring Services, Air Med, Executive Aircraft Charter Service, National EMS Academy and Safety Management Systems.

ResearchMOZ

Albany, Newyork (PRWEB) December 24, 2013

The data market is booming with an ever increasing valuation. In the virtual data ocean, Big Data and small data are complementary strategies at one level and choices of scale/scope at a different level. While Big Data holds distant promises, leveraging “small data” can provide great benefits to small-to-medium business (SMB) as well as large corporations. Simply stated, the cost-performance barrier leaves many lucrative markets inadequately served by Big Data approaches. Carefully chosen data solutions and models should be more accurate, objective, and ultimately lead to improved ROI especially for more near-term time horizons and/or companies with limitations in scale/scope.

Retirement Community Residents Find Purpose During the Holidays

Retirement Community Residents Find Purpose During the Holidays

Resident Ginger Cranford at Gifts from the Heart tree

Thomasville, NC (PRWEB) December 22, 2013

Many residents at Piedmont Crossing Retirement Community in Thomasville, NC see the holiday season as a time to spread cheer and help those in need.

Residents of the Piedmont Crossing Village Association decided earlier in the year they wanted to do several projects to help those in need this holiday season. When they were considering which projects to undertake, they felt that helping those financially in need was as equally important as helping those emotionally in need. The residents also wanted their gifts to stay local.

Gathered in a kitchen at the retirement community, residents made a variety of sandwiches to deliver to Cooperative Community Ministry (CCM), an organization that helps Thomasville area citizens with health, food, housing and clothing needs. Residents at Piedmont Crossing also donated non-perishable food items to the Fairgrove Family Resource Center (FGFRC). The primary focus of FGFRC is to provide supportive and direct services to children and families living in the City of Thomasville and Eastern Davidson County. Their website gives a startling statistic that one in every three children and one in every seven adults suffer from hunger every day in Davidson County.

In early December, a small tree with paper hearts stood in the lobby of Piedmont Crossing. Those hearts held names of children in Thomasville whose families have fallen on hard times and are unable to provide clothing and toys for them at Christmas, a project also provided by FGFRC called Gifts from the Heart. Ginger Cranford, a resident at Piedmont Crossing, stated “It’s amazing to see this tree full of hearts and within a week or so the hearts are gone. Staff and residents look forward to buying for these children so that they, too, can have a merry Christmas.”

Residents in Piedmont Crossing’s Village also felt compelled this year to help their own. In early December, a small tree was placed in a common space area on the campus of the retirement community. The tree originally held names of residents, most of which live in the Parkway Health Center at Piedmont Crossing. The residents names that were placed on the tree were those that will have few to no visitors during the holiday season. In a short time, each name was removed from the tree. Bobbie Hunter, a Village resident at Piedmont Crossing, said “The holidays can be a tough time for some. With this project, I’m able to give my time to help someone that may not otherwise have family or friends to visit them. It not only brightens their day, but it brightens mine as well. In my opinion, putting smiles on others faces is what the holiday season is all about.”

Piedmont Crossing Executive Director Doug Russell shared, “Our residents are an important asset to the greater community. They enjoy giving back and sharing their resources and gifts. These gifts, in return, give Piedmont Crossing residents purpose-filled lives. A feeling of usefulness, worthiness and enhanced esteem is priceless.”

Piedmont Crossing, a not-for-profit retirement community located on 61 beautiful acres in Thomasville, NC offers casual, comfortable cottages, town homes, and apartments as well as a variety of services. GPAA: Gold and Treasure Expo Heads to Mesa, Arizona Jan. 18-19, 2014

GPAA members pan for gold

Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) December 24, 2013

The Gold Prospectors Association of America will kick off the new year with its first Gold and Treasure Expo Jan. 18-19 in Mesa, Ariz. at Mesa Convention Center.

Executive Director of Operations Dominic Ricci said the GPAA Gold and Treasure Expos were started decades ago by GPAA founder George Massie to introduce people to prospecting and show them how and where to find their own gold.

“We encourage everyone to bring their family and friends because there is no better place to learn how to find your own gold and experience panning for yourself. There are plenty of fun and activities for all ages,” Ricci said.

Besides the fun factor, the purpose of the expos is also to remind everyone that gold prospecting and small-scale mining are still a way of life for hundreds of thousands of people across the country and an important part of American culture, history and the economy.

Gold prospecting has become increasingly popular in the past few years with spiking gold prices and a struggling economy. The growing interest in gold is reflected in not only the longest-airing prospecting TV show “Gold Fever,” hosted by GPAA owner Tom Massie, but several new gold mining reality TV shows.

Each year, the expos have something new and exciting to offer with the constant advancement in mining supplies and, according to GPAA Trade Show Manager Gary Sturgill, this year’s expos will be the best yet.

“We have introduced a few new things for the 2014 Gold and Treasure Expo season,” Sturgill said. “A new Hands-on Prospecting Experience allows participants the opportunity to purchase a bucket of concentrates and get a one-on-one lesson with a manufacturer on how to use small-scale mining equipment. The manufacturer will walk you through the process from bucket to clean gold in a vial that you can keep.”

For decades, the GPAA has been traveling around the U.S. with some of the most well-known and trusted equipment dealers, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about the products that benefit them in the field.

“Dozens of mining equipment vendors and manufacturers are to ready to share their secrets of prospecting with you,” Sturgill said.

Three manufacturers, Gold Cube, D&K Detector Sales and Jobe Wholesale have signed on to be part of the Hands-on Prospecting Experience.

Two different size concentrate buckets for this experience can be purchased in advance at http://www.GoldandTreasureExpos.com or at the GPAA booth inside the Expo for $ 50 or $ 100.

Mike Pung, co-inventor of the Gold Cube, is excited to join attendees in the new Hands-on Prospecting Experience.

“This year, the GPAA has something in store for you,” Pung said. “It’s a complete gold prospecting experience. You can come in and learn how to capture that real fine elusive gold, and the Gold Cube was designed for that little stuff. Come on down! Learn how to use the Gold Cube and go home with some gold.”

For those who don’t want to purchase a bucket, there is a complimentary ‘catch-and-release’ gold panning experience called the GPAA Panning Zone.

“For those expo attendees just looking to get hands-on gold panning experience, the new GPAA Panning Zone is the place to be,” Sturgill said.

“Not many shows allow participants a chance to get a gold panning lesson from an experienced prospector using real gold,” he said.

Since this is a free experience using real gold, participants must return the gold when the panning lesson is over.

“The GPAA Panning Zone is made up of 42 feet of water troughs manned by seasoned prospectors who know everything there is to know about panning for gold. Even for experienced participants, this new panning zone is a great way to pick up a few new panning tricks to take with you out in the field,” Sturgill said.

Another feature in store for attendees of the 2014 GPAA Gold Expos is a new spin on a Scavenger Hunt that was introduced during the 2013 tour to encourage kids to participate in the experience.

“As they enter the show, each child will receive a card with eight color pictures printed on it. The photos are of the items painted in gold and hidden around the expo in vendors’ booths,” Sturgill said. “Once they have found and gotten a stamp on all eight items, children can turn in their completed cards at the GPAA booth, where they will be entered in a drawing for a Junior Panning Kit at the end of each day of each show.”

The Scavenger Hunt is not only a way to begin spreading the gold fever in young people at the expos, it is also a great way to keep them entertained and give parents all the time they need to explore everything the expo has to offer, he said.

“The GPAA has brought back the Alaska Gold Expedition giveaways in 2014 — two at each expo. Each trip is good for one person for two weeks and includes airfare to Nome, Alaska,” Sturgill said.

Winners, and others who decide to sign up for the Alaska Gold Expedition, will visit the GPAA’s famous Cripple River Mining Camp, a popular summer prospecting destination on the shores of the Bering Sea, 12 miles from Nome. The 2,300-acre property and camp offers the best in gold prospecting adventure.

“All Gold and Treasure Expo attendees over 18 years of age have an opportunity to win this unforgettable and exciting adventure. With admission to the expos, attendees are given a raffle ticket for the drawing to be held at the end of each day of each show,” Sturgill said.

Along with the grand prize trip to Alaska, thousands of dollars in other prizes, including metal detectors, sluice boxes and concentrators, will given away to lucky participants. Additional tickets can be purchased throughout the expo with all proceeds going to non-profit mining and land rights advocacy organizations.

GPAA Executive Director of Development Kevin Hoagland, a seasoned prospector and metal detectorist, has taken a lead role in the seminar series this year with a “back to the past” theme. Guest speakers will include nationally recognized speakers who will share their knowledge of gold prospecting, gem and treasure hunting and artifact recovery. Local experts will also be on hand to help attendees gain a better understanding of regional geology as well as tips and tricks for working these grounds.

“During the VIP Manufacturer seminars, participants will get a chance to ask questions directly to many of the top small-scale mining manufacturers about their mining equipment and accessories,” Hoagland said.

In addition to the new experiences for 2014, all the old classics will also be present at the expos including demonstrations of hundreds of prospecting products for sale and daily seminars for everyone from novice to seasoned prospectors.

The 2014 GPAA Gold and Treasure Expos are open to the public. Admission is $ 5 for adults. There is no charge for children under 12. Each paid attendee will receive a 14-inch GPAA Gold Catcher Gold Pan and a copy of Gold Prospectors, the GPAA’s national magazine, a total value of $ 13.99. Also, the first 100 paid attendees will receive a free vial with real gold.
