Why Wal-Mart Needs to Build Much Smaller Stores

BusinessWeek.com

“Walmart has a long history of embracing change. And this year, we’ll certainly make some changes to improve our business. These changes will be made with a filter on increasing customer relevance.”

That was how Doug McMillon, Wal-Mart Stores’ (WMT) new chief executive officer, introduced his plans for 2014 in a prerecorded call (PDF) on Thursday. What followed were the details of just how tough 2013 was for the world’s biggest retailer. The company’s net sales grew 1.6 percent to $473.1 billion, and its operating income decreased 3.1 percent to $26.9 billion. In the U.S., Wal-Mart’s comparable store sales, an important measure of a retailer’s health, declined 0.6 percent. Company executives have given all sorts of reasons for the slow sales in the U.S.: Some customers are still having a hard time financially; the government reduced food-stamp benefits; the weather was terrible, and the flu season wasn’t. Louisville, KY (PRWEB) December 25, 2013

The transmissions industry is one component of automobile production and includes different varieties for vehicle manufacturing. The Got Transmissions company is now announcing its freight removal policy for all used Borg Warner T5 transmission inventory for U.S. buyers at http://www.gottransmissions.com/blog/ford-transmissions/mustang-t5-transmission.

These T5 5-speed transmission units are currently available for Mustang vehicles and other builds using the Borg Warner technologies. A recent supplier change has resulted in a better inventory available to obtain these units. The shipping fees removal policy is now included as one additional benefit to replacement auto parts buyers online.

The Borg Warner inventory of used condition transmissions online includes additional units apart from the T5 series. All of the complete assemblies that are available are visible when using the research tools added to the GotTransmissions.com resource online.

“Owners of Ford vehicles, salvage parts buyers or others unable to find T5 inventory in stock from a U.S. dealer are expected to instantly benefit from the freight policies that are now in place,” said a source from the GotTransmissions.com company.

The used transmissions that are now being marketed in the United States for discount prices by the Got Transmissions company have been updated to include a different level of warranty protection. These warranties are now fixed with each online or telephone sale processed by company sales staff.

“The freight incentives combined with the new warranty coverage supplied for all inventory in stock are two recent strategies now underway going forward for parts buyers to benefit,” the source concluded.

The GotTransmissions.com company resource online includes thousands of research pages and additional quality information about each gearbox that is retailed to the public. The supplier changes, inventory adjustments and other policies enabled this year are contributing to an increase in processed sales.

About GotTransmissions.com

The GotTransmissions.com company supplies preowned gearbox units that are purchased for resale from automotive supply companies within the United States. Used 6.4 Powerstroke Engine for Sale Shipped Without Freight Costs at Used Diesel Engines Company

Used 6.4 Powerstroke Engine for Sale Shipped Without Freight Costs at Used Diesel Engines Company

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) December 25, 2013

The diesel engines used in some automaker brands of trucks can be difficult to find once production ceases by automakers. The Got Engines company specializes in out of production engines in used condition and has recently modified its Ford inventory. This company is now shipping used 6.4 Powerstroke engine for sale inventory without freight costs in the U.S.

These standard units are now supplied to help decrease the rising costs of freight for engine shipments. The standard edition 6.4 Powerstroke motors are eligible for this freight discount as well as the the MaxxForce 7 series engines. This termination of all freight costs is one method in use by the GotEngines.com company to expand its buyer network this year and through next year.

The diesel motors that are in production by Ford Motor Company are increasing in popularity for the F-Series trucks and E-Series vans in the U.S. These units are relatively simple to find when using dealerships although second hand sources can have limited inventory. The 6.4, 6.0 and 7.3 Powerstroke engines inventory at the Got Engines company can be viewed on the company website.

“Removing freight costs is one strategy now used to indirectly lower the purchase price of an engine that is inside our inventory,” a source confirmed at the GotEngines.com company.

Many retailers of replacement engines selling inventory online include the cost of shipping separately apart from the processed engine sale. This is due partly to the increasing costs for freight shipments for heavy inventory like diesel engines. The GotEngines.com termination of shipment charges for buyers is expected to remain in place until further notice.

“Diesel engines that are shipped through our company are now delivered in a shorter period of time on average,” the source added.

The GotEngines.com freight companies now used to deliver all shipments have been modified this year to expand the amount of providers available. This is one contributing factor to the recent removal of shipping costs for all used diesel engines available online.

Buyers can quote the price of an engine using the research tools that are now positioned for use on the company homepage. Additional information for warranty policies is now included when prices are quoted online.

About GotEngines.com

The GotEngines.com company supports the American public by providing automobile engines that are used condition and shipped free of charge. This company now stocks Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and other brands of gasoline or diesel engines online. The GotEngines.com company created the first edition of its website in 2007 and has modified the tools available online this year. The price quotations, shipment information and limited warranty data useful for comparing engine retailers online is now generated using the easy tools on the company website.

Remanufactured Automatic Transmissions Receive Two-Year Parts Warranties at U.S. Auto Retailer Website

Remanufactured Automatic Transmissions Receive Two-Year Parts Warranties at U.S. Auto Retailer Website

luxuryluke / Foter.com / CC BY-NC-ND

Mobile, AL (PRWEB) December 25, 2013

The replacement automotive transmissions industry features multiple types of units that buyers can evaluate before making a purchase decision. The Powertrain Pros company is now including a two-year parts warranty with all remanufactured automatic transmissions at http://powertrainpros.com/remanufactured-automatic-transmissions.

These reconditioned automotive units are featured for most American automaker builds. The new investments in transmission rebuilding technologies are present in the inventory that is now marked for sale. The four, five and six-speed editions that are listed online are eligible for the new two-year protection policies.

The Powertrain Pros company has made additional improvements to its inventory and rebuilding staff this year. New relationships with suppliers of automobile transmission inventory have been made to increase the types of units that buyers can find when researching the company website online.

“The two-year protection plans that we’re now providing for all purchases of replacement gearboxes are provided to protect all parts and labor,” a source said from the PowertrainPros.com company.

The use of automatic transmissions in modern vehicles is one practice adopted by most U.S. automakers. The arrival in the auto industry of these units in the early 1980s helped to provide an easier shifting source compared to manual shifting methods.

“The Powertrain Pros company has increased its in-house rebuilding to keep up with demand from mechanics, service shops, junkyards and vehicle owners,” the source added.

The PowertrainPros.com website currently supplies immediate price quotations through a new series of tools added for any buyer to utilize online. This price distribution method online is offered as a secondary contact source aside from the number available nationally at 1-888-292-8807.

These changes along with inventory modifications are helping to position the Powertrain Pros company as a leader in transmission rebuilds distributed in the United States. New inventory is scheduled for inclusion in the rebuilding facility starting next year.

About PowertrainPros.com

The PowertrainPros.com company offers automatic and manual transmission rebuilds that are discounted below the standard MSRP price offered by automakers. This company is one of the leading resources to find replacement transmission units that are built for American automobiles online. New Way to Get an Insurance Quote for Car Owners Developed by Automotive Company Online

New Way to Get an Insurance Quote for Car Owners Developed by Automotive Company Online

stock images | freedigitalimages.net

Yuma, AZ (PRWEB) December 25, 2013

Prices for automobile insurance are one of the most important aspects of considering a policy purchase for drivers, according to auto industry data. The Auto Pros company has developed a new way to get an insurance quote without calling companies by phone. This company has modified its state research tool at http://autoprosusa.com/insurance.

Every quotation of price that is extracted using the locator tool now available provides all available information that drivers need when purchasing a policy. This information is obtained without contacting any insurance company prior to processing a policy purchase online.

The Auto Pros car owner insurance locator is a mixture of local, statewide and national agencies supplying rates quotations for all drivers able to input a zip code to begin the search process. This new method of insurance research and cost comparison online is one new tool included for independent research.

“Drivers using the system to find a more affordable price quotation for insurance plans online can explore different providers as well as policy types,” a source said at the AutoProsUSA.com company.

As part of the industry research available, easier research for locating lesser known plans provided by insurers can be completed. Most companies provide what is known as state level protection that offers a basic policy for protection of a vehicle and driver during a collision. Other plans like broad form coverage, SR22 and full coverage are currently available to quote online.

“The research portion of the locator tool provides a list of companies that are based upon the criteria drivers enter to ensure the right amount of providers offering needed plans are available for comparison,” the source included.

The Auto Pros company tool now open to North American drivers online for insurance quotations is one part of the enhanced website now accessible. Vehicle owners seeking a resource for auto parts can use the public tool to review lower than retail pricing provided by second hand retail companies online.

The insurance tool is combined with the warranties research locator at http://autoprosusa.com/auto-warranty to deliver quotes for coverage plans that takeover where insurer policies leave off for repairs and maintenance.

About AutoProsUSA.com

The AutoProsUSA.com company has built a new series of tools in 2013 that are in use by auto owners throughout the United States online. This company has widened its levels of service online and is now connecting consumers to vehicle insurance agencies and warranty companies in North America. The AutoProsUSA.com company website is enabled for easy research for used and other types of auto parts online. The partners contributing price information and inventory details to the company search systems online grow in numbers weekly. New companies are featured as other companies are removed to continue building the auto network online.

Champs Chicken Adds Sizzle to Menu

Champs Chicken Adds Sizzle to Menu

Champs Chicken adds Sweet N’ Fiery sauce to dipping cup options

Holts Summit, MO (PRWEB) December 26, 2013

Sales aren’t the only thing heating up at Champs Chicken. The company recently announced the addition of a new Champs Dipping Cup, Sweet N’ Fiery, to its menu line-up. The sauce – which starts off sweet and finishes hot – joins 7 other Champs Dipping Cup offerings.

The move is designed to meet growing consumer demand for more flavorful dining options. According to Technomic’s recent Consumer Trend Report, a majority (54%) of consumers polled said they find hot or spicy foods appealing. The strongest preference was found among younger consumers, ages 18-34, who make up a key Champs Chicken demographic.

“Sweet N’ Fiery is right in line with current consumer trends toward higher impact, bolder flavors,” Shawn Burcham, CEO and president of Champs Chicken, said. “By offering Sweet N’ Fiery as a dipping cup, we’re making the sauce more accessible to consumers, and therefore more profitable to retailers.”

The variety of Champs Dipping Sauces – which include Sassy Chipotle Ranch, Buffalo and Honey Mustard – also gives customers a simple and inexpensive way to customize their Champs Chicken purchase, as well as to accommodate a range of taste preferences.

“Flavor variety is one of the most appealing things for consumers,” Carl Christenson, vice president of marketing for Champs Chicken, said. “Because a dipping cup commonly comes with our meals or snacks, consumers can enjoy their favorite Champs Chicken item – chicken tenders and dippers, wings and even fish – with a multitude of flavors.”

Additional Champs Dipping Cup offerings, including Jalapeno Mustard and Teriyaki, will be arriving in the first quarter of 2014.
